10 killed, 52 wounded in Kabul bombing: Saleh
At least 10 people were killed and 52 others wounded in Sunday’s bombing targeting Wolesi Jirga member’s Khan Mohammad Wardak’s convoy, says Vice-President Amrullah Saleh.
A day earlier, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said the explosion occurred in the Spin Kalai Square of the 5th fifth police district.
The ministry said eight people were killed and 15 others, including lawmaker Wardak, wounded in the explosion.
But Saleh, in his a report, said 10 people were killed and 52 others wounded in yesterday’s bombing in the capital.
All but six of the injured had been discharged from hospital, he said, adding most of the people were wounded due to shards of windowpanes.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing, with the Taliban denying involvement in the attack.
