Afghan-US forces respond Taliban attack in Ghazni with heavy airstrikes

The Afghan and US forces responded to Taliban attack on Ghazni province with heavy airstrikes that resulted into the killing of several militants. The 203rd Thunder Corps of the Afghan Military in the Southeast said the Afghan Air Force carried out airstrikes on Taliban positions in Ajristan disrict, leaving at least 12 militants dead.

Afghan Defense Ministry retires another 61 generals from service

69 Taliban militants and 13 Security Personnel killed in separate incidents in Ghazni Province

27 Taliban militants and 12 Policemen were killed and 17 other militants were injured in Ajristan District of Ghazni Province when militants attacked security check-points on May 19, reports Bakhtar News. 13 Security Personnel were killed and eight others injured.
