Sangin police chief among 11 killed in suspected infiltrator attack
Sangin district police chief, Abdul Mohammad Sarwari, has been killed in an attack by the Taliban, local police confirmed on Saturday.
No details on the type of attack have been released so far.
However, a source told Ariana News the police chief and 10 other policemen were killed on Friday night in a Taliban attack in Nahri Saraj area.
According to the source the attack was carried out by a Taliban infiltrator at a police outpost.
This comes after local officials said that Sangin police headquarters was transferred to Nahri Saraj area after the fall of the district to the Taliban.
