NDS convoy targeted in IED explosion in Parwan

National Directorate of Security (NDS) forces were targeted in an IED explosion on Tuesday in Parwan province, sources said.

According to the sources, a convoy of NDS forces was targeted in the Serahi Hofyan-e-Sharif area in PD1 of the provincial capital Charikar city.

At least three NDS personnel members were killed and five others wounded in the blast, sources said.

Abdul Qasim, Head of Parwan Public Hospital told Ariana News that three bodies and five wounded people were transferred to the hospital after the explosion that happened at around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.

Provincial security officials have not yet commented and no group or individual has so far claimed responsibility.
