Azerbaijan to open embassy in Kabul next year

Azerbaijan’s foreign ministry has announced that the country will open an embassy in Afghan capital Kabul next year, Azerbaijan’s Report news agency said on Friday.

According to the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on July 28, 2021, Ilham Mammadov was appointed as Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Afghanistan, the agency said.
