Bennett’s report yet another propaganda against IEA: Mujahid
The Islamic Emirate’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid on Friday called a recent report on Afghanistan by UN expert Richard Bennett a “propaganda.”
UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan, Richard Bennett, said Thursday that “women and girls are being erased from public life, peaceful dissent is not tolerated, violence and the threat of violence are used with impunity to control and instil fear in the population.”
He called on countries Thursday to initiate a case against Afghanistan at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over the violation of women’s rights.
IEA spokesman Mujahid, however, said that every citizen has their Sharia rights.
“Compared to the past, all Afghan women and men have physical, financial and spiritual security, no one can violate anyone’s rights, every citizen has their Shari’a rights and lives in peace,” Mujahid said in a post on X.
