Who Is Saifullah Sajid Jutt? Hafiz Saeed Aide Identified As Mastermind Of Pahalgam Terror Attack

Saifullah Sajid Jutt, a Lashkar-e-Taiba commander based in Islamabad, is believed to have masterminded the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 28 people, including two foreign nationals.

Saifullah Sajid Jutt, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander, is believed to be the mastermind behind the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, according to Times Now sources. At least 28 people were killed when heavily armed terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in a popular meadow near Pahalgam town in south Kashmir on Tuesday. The deceased also includes two foreign nationals, including one from Nepal and other UAE.

Saifullah Sajid Jutt, also known as Saifullah Kasuri, is a native of Shangamanga village in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has labelled him a “hardcore terrorist,” currently operating from a Lashkar-e-Taiba base in Islamabad.

Kasuri (45) uses charity and religious fronts to mask his involvement in terror-related activities. Deeply embedded within Lashkar’s core, he is known to maintain close ties with handlers from Pakistan’s ISI and key figures in the Pakistan Army.

Earlier in the day, the first image of one of the terrorists involved in the dastardly Pahalgam terror attack was revealed. The image shows the terrorist running through the Baisaran valley, with a rifle in his hand.
Chilling visuals from the spot showed panic-stricken tourists crying for help and narrating the horror as it unfolded in the picturesque tourist hub.

In a statement, the Indian Army described the assault as a “cowardly act of violence” targeting innocent locals and visitors. “Joint Forces are currently overseeing the situation. Medical teams were quickly mobilized for evacuation,” the Army’s Chinar Corps said on social media.

Terrorists Open Fire on Tourists in Pahalgam After Identifying Non-Muslim
The terrorists descended from the surrounding hills around 2:30 PM and began asking tourists for identification-reportedly to distinguish between Muslims and non-Muslims. Once identified, they separated women and children from the men before opening indiscriminate fire that lasted nearly five minutes.

Investigators found AK-47 cartridges and armour-piercing bullets at the scene. Due to the area being a civilian zone, the Indian Army is not regularly deployed there; security is primarily handled by CRPF and local police. Eyewitnesses say one Army personnel on the spot managed to guide civilians to safety.
