2 guards of VP Danish injured in Kabul explosion
At least four security personnel were killed and three others, including a civilian, wounded on Saturday when three explosions rocked different parts of Kabul, officials said.
Police spokesman Firdos Faramarz said two security personnel were injured in a magnetic bomb blast that struck a pick-up vehicle in 6th police district.
The injured were evacuated to hospital, the police spokesman said, without commenting on their health condition.
Meanwhile, a source in the Kabul police headquarters, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News three personnel of the Public Protection Unit were injured in the blast.
Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq, chairman of the Afghan People’s Unity Party, speaking at a meeting of High Council for National Reconciliation, said the bodyguards of Sarwar Danish, the second vice president, were targeted by explosion in sixth police district.
A source, who did not want to be named confirmed Maj. Mohammad, deputy chief of staff ti the the vice-president, and Brog. Gen. .Kazim Amar were injured in the attack.
Masuma Jafari, deputy spokeswoman for the Ministry of Public Health, said four people were killed and as many others injured in the explosions.
She said the bodies and the injured were evacuated to Kabul hospitals.
