Taliban Red Unit deputy commander killed in Kunar

Taliban’s Red Unit deputy commander for eastern Kunar province has been killed and an Islamic State (IS) recruiter arrested in Nangarhar province, sources said on Monday. Kunar police spokesman Faridullah Dehqan told Pajhwok Afghan News that NiazSalim, deputy commander of the Taliban Red Unit, was killed by unknown armed men in Ganjgal area of Sarkano district late Sunday night.

China, India troops engage in face-off at Sikkim

Indian and Chinese troops were involved in another brawl on their contested Himalayan border, leaving injuries on both sides, military officials said on Monday.
